Three More Signs That The World Has Gone Crazy This Morning 2/20/06
1. Pope Benedict has decreed that "violence is never an acceptable response." Hello, of course violence is an acceptable response if you are acting in self-defense or trying to remove odious despots from the world (read Hitler, Pol Pot, etc., etc.)
2. The New York Times Jerusalem Chief noting this morning on NPR that he has severe reservations about Israel, the U.S., and the EU walking a fine moral line between creating chaos in the Palestinian territories and trying to dislodge Hamas. Hello, the Palestinians voted for Hamas; whatever chaos has been created by the election of Hamas is their responsibility.
3. Russia is going to enrich Iran's uranium to allay Western concerns that Iran wants to produce nuclear weapons. Hello, the Russians helped Iran build the reactors in the first place; the Russians have no money; the Russians don't care if the Iranians have nuclear weapons or not.

Five more signs the world has gone crazy. News related to the Middle East as of 2/19/06.
1. Iranian mullahs have now issued a fatwa endorsing the use of nuclear weapons against Iran's enemies (read the U.S. and Israel).
2. Iranian students thronged to sign up for yet another suicide bomber brigade at a leading Iranian university.
3. The Department of Homeland Security has endorsed a company owned by the UAE to supervise security at American ports.
4. The German foreign minister has again announced that the row over the offending cartoons should not be looked at as part of a war between cultures.
5. Fox News decries the fact that Hamas is still branded a terrorist organization "despite having won Palestinian parliamentary elections."
